The Process

How the LSV Title Process Works

Getting a Florida Low-Speed Vehicle title for your golf cart involves a specific sequence of inspections, paperwork, and DMV coordination. Here's exactly what to expect.

Eligibility

Is Your Cart Eligible?

Florida law requires that a golf cart meet specific equipment standards before it can be titled as a Low-Speed Vehicle. Florida Street Ready works with carts that meet these baseline criteria:

  • ✓Model year 2020 or newer
  • ✓Four-wheeled vehicle
  • ✓Top speed between 20 and 25 mph
  • ✓Located in St. Lucie, Martin, or Palm Beach County

Not sure if your cart qualifies? Contact us before scheduling — we'll help you determine eligibility at no charge.

Step by Step

The Full Process

01

Initial Consultation

Contact us to discuss your cart's make, model year, and current equipment. We'll confirm eligibility and answer your questions before any payment is made.

This step is free. We want to make sure the process makes sense for your situation before you commit.

02

Schedule Your Inspection ($199)

We perform a compliance inspection to assess whether your cart meets Florida LSV equipment requirements — including lighting, mirrors, seat belts, and other mandated safety features.

The $199 inspection fee is credited toward your $699 total package. If deficiencies are found, we provide a written report so you or your dealer can correct them before proceeding.

03

Equipment Corrections (If Needed)

If your cart has equipment deficiencies, we identify them clearly in writing. You or your dealer are responsible for making any corrections — we do not install equipment.

Once corrections are made, we can re-inspect to confirm compliance before moving forward with the title application.

04

Paperwork Preparation & Review

We prepare and review all Florida DMV documentation required for your LSV title application — including the application for certificate of title, supporting affidavits, and required disclosures.

We handle the complexity of the paperwork so you don't have to navigate DMV forms on your own.

05

DMV Submission Coordination

We coordinate submission of your completed title application to the Florida DMV, including standard government title-processing fees (included in the $699 package).

Florida Street Ready is a private service. We are not affiliated with the Florida DMV and cannot guarantee state approval — but we ensure your application is complete and accurate.

06

Receive Your VIN & Electronic Title

Once the DMV processes your application, you receive an assigned Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and your electronic Florida LSV title.

Florida issues electronic titles. We'll walk you through what to expect when your title is issued.
